Armada Win Their First Jean-Rougeau Trophy
March 22, 2018 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada were honoured before their first home playoff game series versus the Val-d'Or Foreurs. With a record of 50-11-4-3 (best in franchise history), they finished first overall in the QMJHL standings, 11 points ahead of their closest pursuers, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Director of Hockey Operations, Pierre Leduc, was on deck at the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau to present the Jean-Rougeau Trophy to the Armada. The trophy was given to the Armada's captain Alexandre Alain in a pre-game ceremony.
The league would like to congratulate the players, management, coaching and administrative staffs for their excellent season. Furthermore, a special thank you to Blainville-Boisbriand fans for their unbelievable support throughout the 2017-18 campaign.
Tobie Paquette-Bisson also rewarded
The Kevin Lowe Trophy was also awarded tonight to the season's best defensive defenseman, Tobie Paquette-Bisson of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. It was presented by Armada's assistant coach, Jean-François Fortin.
