Armada FC to Give Thanks to Nation 's Heroes with Military Appreciation Night on Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - You can never say thanks enough to those in the armed forces, but the Jacksonville Armada FC is hoping its small token of appreciation this weekend will be a memorable experience for the nation's heroes.
The Armada FC is hosting Military Appreciation Night presented by PRI Productions at Community First Park at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Saturday as part of its 7 p.m. match with North American Soccer League foe Indy Eleven. Tickets are available starting at $5 for anyone with a military ID.
In addition, the Armada FC will highlight Operation New Uniform, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing unemployed and underemployed military veterans who seek long-term fulfilling careers with the tools needed to succeed in today's business world.
Prior to the match, the Armada FC will host the Intuition Blue and Bold Street Party presented by PRI Productions from 4:30-6:45 p.m. on A. Phillip Randolph Blvd. between Duval and Adams St. The bash features Intuition beers, special giveaways, exciting tailgating games and food trucks. In addition, there will be a stilt walker, face painting and live music from Hard 2 Handle.
Since the club was founded in 2013, it has been active in the Northeast Florida military community with multiple visits from players to bases in the area and frequently honoring veterans at matches. The Armada FC brand incorporates the rich military heritage in the region from the club logo to even the matchday experience, which includes the firing of replica two-pound naval signal cannons when the team takes the field and scores.
