Arizona Rattlers News Release

Phoenix, Ariz. - The five time world champion Arizona Rattlers (3-0) once again return to the road for the third time in four weeks. This time, they head to Jacksonville, Florida to take on the Sharks (1-2). The Rattlers are looking to continue their dominance, while the Sharks are looking to get back on track.

Last Saturday, Arizona dismantled the Tampa Bay Storm by a score of 60-27 in front of the largest crowd in Arizona since 2010 (14,872). Quarterback Nick Davila helped lead the charge, completing 28 of 37 attempts and seven touchdowns earning the Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week honor. Davila has still not been picked off this season.

The Rattlers defense held Tampa Bay to 27 points, and still have not allowed a team to score more than 28 all season. Linebacker Tyre Glasper lead the way, with a crucial sack on 4th down, and a fumble return for a touchdown.

The Sharks, on the other hand are looking to bounce back, after two late game losses to start the season 1-2.

Last week, the Jacksonville held a seven point lead late in the fourth quarter, when, after a quick score by the Orlando Predators, Sharks' quarterback Tommy Grady lost the ball on a sack, which led to another Predators' touchdown. The Sharks were able to fight back to the Orlando 10-yard line, but ran out of time.

Jacksonville is familiar with this kind of adversity. Last season, the Sharks dropped five of their first six games, but finished strong and ended up playing for the Foster Cup in ArenaBowl XXVIII (2015). The Sharks are hoping that despite another slow start, they can right the ship this weekend.

By the way, the last time the Rattlers started 3-0, they won ArenaBowl XXVII (2014).

The Rattlers will take on the Sharks this Saturday, April 23rd, at 4:00 p.m. PDT at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. The game will be streamed online at ESPN3.com or on WatchESPN app on a tablet or smartphone.
