Arizona Rattlers News Release

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers' Sidewinders dance team proudly announced their 18 member team for the 2017 season. Eight of the members return from last year's team.

The dancers had to endure three auditions, two rehearsals, panel interviews, new choreography, workouts and a photo-shoot before finally being chosen to represent the team.

"The Sidewinders have been recognized consistently as one of the top AFL Dance Teams in the country" said Angie Baker, the Arizona Sidewinders Dance team Director, Head Coach. "We are excited to make the transition to the Indoor Football League, while continuing to promote the Arizona Rattlers Organization both in the community and on the field."

The 2017 team is as follows:

Abby, Andria, Brittany, Brynn, Chali, Ciara, Danielle, Gabby, Jacqueline, Jaime, Jenna, Jordan, Kalayn, Kaylee, McKayla, Monica, Natalie and Paxton.

"The Sidewinders' exciting performances, creative routines and connection with fans have rendered us true national fan favorites," Baker said. "Although we are still enjoying the recognition of performing on The Ellen Show and Dancing at the Super Bowl with Katy Perry, every year presents new opportunities and challenges."

The Sidewinders continually seek to not only be there for the fans on gameday, but also to consistently give back to the community when off the field.

"We continually strive to make a positive impact on our community," Baker said. "Being a part of the Sidewinders Organization is not just about the dance; we expect and train these ladies how to be professional, poised, responsible, organized, accountable and caring individuals. The Sidewinders Alumni Group is a perfect example: We have an inspiring group of community leaders that include teachers, nurses, mothers, NFL & NBA dancers, entrepreneurs, business owners and more who have all started their dance career on the turf. Our alumnae continue to support the next generation of Sidewinders and lead by example."

"I could not be more thrilled with the success of the Arizona Rattlers Organization," Baker replied. "We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the owner, Ron Shurts, for having faith in my vision and leadership as a Director. Without his support we would not be where are are today as a renowned dynasty in professional dance."

The Arizona Sidewinders would also wish to thank their partners and Industry Professionals that helped put these auditions together.
