HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo today announced the return of midfielder Leonel Miranda on loan, with an option to extend, from Club Atlético Independiente of Argentina's Primera Division.

Miranda, 22, joined the Dynamo on loan for the 2015 season and made 20 regular-season appearances (11 starts) and tallied two goals and one assist. The wide midfielder started the final six games of the season and added a goal and three additional starts in the U.S. Open Cup.

"We're pleased to announce Leo's return to the club following a new loan agreement with Independiente," Dynamo VP/general manager Matt Jordan said. "With one MLS season under his belt, he integrated well within our team and is eager to get into camp in preparation for the upcoming season."

The Argentine signed with Club Atlético Independiente in October 2012 and made his Primera Division debut in March 2013. He made 34 first-team appearances and scored two goals with El Rojo, one of Argentina's most successful clubs with a record seven Copa Libertadores championships.

The Dynamo open the 2016 MLS season on Saturday, March 6 when they host the New England Revolution at BBVA Compass Stadium. Season tickets for the 2016 season are available now starting at $385, and single-game tickets for the home opener are available starting at $25.
