Are You Tough Enough?

February 10, 2009 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Bismarck Bobcats News Release

The Bismarck Bobcats don pink jerseys once again this weekend and prove they're tough enough to wear pink when they take on the Alexandria Blizzard... and cancer. This is the third annual Tough Enough to Play in Pink night for the Bobcats and ACS Relay For Life.

This year the auction will be just a bit different. The pink cancer-awareness jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction throughout the game. Bidding will start when thedoors open and conclude in the second intermission. Ten jerseys: David Bosner, Will Aide, Myles Harvey, John Clark, Andrew Seeberg, John Wickman, Cody Keefer, Jason Fabian, Jordan Singer and Matt Grogan will be auctioned off live after the game. All proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Bismarck-Mandan Relay For Life.

"As a cancer survivor, this night hits close to home. It's been a blast to organize and I'm glad the Bobcats are able to team with ACS and Relay For Life in an event like this." said Caryn Olson, Director of Game Operations for the Bobcats. "So many of our players and staff members have been affected by cancer, so it's appropriate to dedicate this game in recognition of survivors and in remembrance of our families and friends."

Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. It will be held later this spring on June 6th and 7th at Century High School.
