Everett, Wash. - It promises to be another fantastic summer at the ballpark! Your Everett AquaSox are excited to reveal the 2016 Opening Week Promotional Nights which includes -TWO firework spectaculars, a magnet schedule giveaway, AquaSox Gnome Giveaway, and Ken Griffey Jr. Plaque night.
The AquaSox opened Northwest League regular season play with back-to-back three-game series on the road against the Tri-City Dust Devils and the Vancouver Canadians. The team returns for their home opening five-game series against the Boise Hawks from Thursday, June 23, through Monday, June 27.
June 23 is Opening Night, and the first 1,000 fans through the gates receive magnet schedules. What do you get when you combine baseball, kids, and summer break? Fun! The AquaSox Kids Club returns in 2016, as well as Kids Run the Bases after every Thursday-Sunday game (excluding firework nights). Since we love fans of all ages, fans 55 and up are invited to join the Silver Sluggers Club; members receive a ticket to every Wednesday game and a shirt for only $18.
Friday, June 24 is the AquaSox first post-game fireworks spectacular. In addition, June 24 is also AquaSox Gnome Giveaway night, where the first 500 fans 18 or older receive an AquaSox Gnome. The fun continues on Friday, June 24, with an appearance by Daniel Smith - the Amazing Rubber Boy! Daniel holds the Guinness World Record for the "Most Flexible Man".
Saturday, June 25, the first 1,000 fans will take home a Ken Griffey Jr. Replica Plaque that honors "The Kid's" Hall of Fame induction this summer and the landing spot of his first professional home run here at Everett Memorial Stadium. Following the game, enjoy our second post-game firework show of the season. The AquaSox added this firework show after their initial promo schedule release, and the addition means we will have back-to-back post-game spectaculars on June 24 and 25.
Bring your best Hawaiian attire to the ballpark Sunday, June 26, for Aloha Night. Also, on Sunday the first 500 fans will receive an AquaSox T-shirt. This will also be the first Military Appreciation Sunday in 2016, and all service members receive $5 Upper Box Seat Tickets with their Military I.D. Webbly's Kid's Club is also part of Sunday festivities. Kids 12 and under can join the Kid's Club for just $16. Club membership includes special reserved upper box seating to every 2016 Sunday home game, discounted registration to the 2016 AquaSox Baseball Camp, exclusive Kid's Club member t-shirt, personalized membership card and much more.
Monday, June 27th, features Inflatables Night where kids can have a blast while taking in a baseball game. This also marks our first Good Karma Monday of the season where you can name your price for Upper Box Tickets at every Monday home game to benefit local charities. Good Karma Monday is only offered at walk-up windows at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Weekly specials during this series include Tasty Thursdays featuring $2 hot dogs, popcorn, sodas and 12 ounce Coors Lights. Military Sundays are also back with discounted tickets for active and retired military.
