Hershey Bears News Release
The HERSHEY BEARS Hockey Club collected three points out of a possible six last week, and now heads south for a critical East Division road weekend against the Norfolk Admirals. The BEARS will play Friday and Saturday at Norfolk Scope, the final two games of the season between the two teams in what could be a Calder Cup playoff preview. T

Holtby returns (again): The Capitals returned goaltender Braden Holtby on loan Sunday, after he was recalled Saturday morning to play against the Montreal Canadiens. Holtby earned his second NHL shutout and his 10th win of the season for Washington in a 2-0 victory at the Bell Centre Saturday. Holtby is one of three Washington goalies with 10 or more wins this season.
Punching the ticket: With Saturday's win overAlbany, the BEARS officially clinched a 2011 Calder Cup playoff spot. The trip to the postseason marks the sixth straight season that HERSHEY has made the playoffs, winning three Calder Cups and four Eastern Conference championships in that span.
700 points for Aucoin: Center Keith Aucoin became the first American Hockey League player in more than seven years to reach 700 points in a career. Aucoin reached the lofty plateau on Andrew Gordon's first period goal Saturday against the Devils. Despite missing nine weeks this season due to injury, Aucoin still ranks second in the AHL in assists and seventh in scoring with two weeks to go.
A career-best for Willsie: Right wing Brian Willsie established a new career-high with his 30th goal of the season Saturday against Albany. Willsie scored 29 goals for HERSHEY during the 2002-03 season before a recall to the Colorado Avalanche. He is also tied with Keith Aucoin for the team lead in scoring this season with 67 points.
Practice schedule: HERSHEY will practice Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at HERSHEYPARK Arena this week prior to departing for Norfolk for this weekend's games.
