Sioux City, IA-Another game, another close one for the Sioux City Musketeers. For the 17th time this season, the Musketeers finished with a one-goal game. Winning 2-1 in an overtime victory over the Youngstown Phantoms.

The Musketeers managed to pick up the 2 points and up their record to 20-7-3-1 despite finishing with only 15 shots against the Phantoms.

It was Sampo Ranta who started the scoring last night. Scoring his 1st goal as a Musketeer at the 5:25 mark of the 1st. It was Sampo's 4th game of the season after being injured in the first preseason game in Omaha. Sampo's goal was unassisted, by finding the puck on a rebound shot.

It was a nice setup by Youngstown's Marshall Moise (5) an Alec Mahalak (7) to Tommy Apap. It was Apap's first goal of the season tying the game in the second, scoring at the 11:12 mark.

After a scoreless third period, Kristian Pospisil (5) scored the game-winner on the power play goal that was transferred over in the final minute of the third period. Pospisil's goal was set up by Eeli Tolvanen (12) and Carson Vance (16), just 27 seconds into the extra session. Kristian Pospisil extends his point streak to four games.

Matiss Kivlenieks was excellent again in net, not losing back to back games yet this season. He picked up his league leading 18th win with 28 saves in the match.

The two teams match up again tonight in Youngstown, Ohio for a 6:05 pm puck drop. Sioux City will then head to Chicago for a Sunday afternoon game.
