Angels Recall Fernando Rodriguez

SALT LAKE CITY (April 26, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodriguez from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Rodriguez, 24, has appeared in six games of relief for the Bees in 2009, registering a 0-0 record and 2.38 ERA while holding opponents to a .162 batting average. In 33 games (22 starts) for Double-A Arkansas in 2008, Rodriguez owned a 7-11 record and 5.53 ERA. The El Paso, Texas native was originally selected by the Angels in the 18th round of the 2003 draft. His first appearance with the Angels will be his major league debut.
