Andre Levingston Named President Of The PBL
June 8, 2010 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Halifax Rainmen News Release
Owner and CEO of the Halifax Rainmen Andre Levingston has just been appointed the New President of the Premier Basketball League. Levingston's appointment which takes effect immediately will not interfere with his role with the Halifax Rainmen. "We couldn't be more thrilled to have Andre on board as President of the League. His experience, tenacity and love of the sport will truly serve the league well. We are confident the PBL will thrive under his leadership," said Sev Hwrynak chairman of the PBL.
Levingston established the Halifax Rainmen in May of 2006, and the team and its fans have continued to grow every season. "I want to take what I have learned about what works and what doesn't and translate that into improving the league operations so that every team will benefit equally," said Levingston.
Levingston will not relocate his office, he will continue to expand the league through-out Canada, and operate league business through a satellite office here in Halifax. "I can't wait to get started, I believe this is a positive move for me, the Rainmen and all teams and players in the PBL"
