Amerks Sign Defenseman Jason Beattie to ATO

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed defenseman Jason Beattie to an Amateur Tryout.
Beattie recently completed his collegiate career at Niagara University, where he helped lead the Purple Eagles to the NCAA Regional Semifinals while serving as a team captain. Beattie recorded seven points (3+4) and 32 penalty minutes in 25 games for Niagara this season. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Newmarket, Ontario, played in 106 career games with Niagara, recording 25 points (7+18) and 153 penalty minutes.
