Amerks Reassign Forward Jacob Lagace to Bakersfield

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that forward Jacob Lagace has been reassigned to the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

Lagace, 23, has appeared in 39 games with Bakersfield this season, recording 24 points (11+13) and 26 penalty minutes to rank third on the team in scoring. During the 2011-12 season, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Lagace played in 58 games with the Amerks, collecting 20 points (10+10) and 25 penalty minutes.

In 116 career AHL games with Rochester and Portland, Lagace has registered 43 points (20+23) and 59 penalty minutes. Prior to his professional career, he played three seasons in the QMJHL with Chicoutimi and Cape Creton, recording 204 points (90+114) in 191total games. Lagace was selected in the fifth round (134th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres.
