Tri-City Americans News Release
KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory proudly announced today that the Americans have signed 17-year old Colten Gerlib to a Standard WHL Players Agreement.
Colten, who is from Kamloops, BC, played last season for the Valley West Hawks Midget AAA team in the BCMML. He was listed by the Americans in January, 2016 after the Mac's Midget Tournament in Calgary, AB.
"Colten is a gifted skater with good vision and puck skills. We are excited about his upside as a WHL defenseman," said Tory.
Gerlib will travel with the Americans to the upcoming Everett tournament and continue to compete for a spot on the 2016-17 roster.
The Americans are in action this weekend at the Everett Silvertip's Holiday Inn Preseason Classic before coming home next week for the Red Lion Preseason Tournament. Click HERE for the full preseason schedule for your Tri-City Americans.
