Americans Hold Series Edge Heading into Game 6

Kansas City, Missouri - The Allen Americans hold a 3-2 series edge, heading into tonight's Game 6 of the ECHL Western Conference Semi-final Series in Missouri. The puck drops at 7:05 PM.
The Americans won two of three games in Allen, outscoring Missouri 9-3 in those two victories. Americans forward, Chad Costello's postseason point streak came to end on Sunday at 11 games. Costello's streak was at 30 straight with a point or better, going back to the end of the regular season.
"I didn't think too much about it," said Chad Costello, when talking about his amazing streak. "You would trade any streak or award for our ultimate goal, which is repeating as Kelly Cup Champions. We have to forget about Sunday and get ready for tonight."
Greger Hanson scored his sixth goal of the playoffs on Sunday. Hanson leads the Americans in that category, and is tied for third overall in the postseason. Riley Gill has started every game in this series for Allen and has a .931 save percentage. Gill is tied for second in wins in the playoffs with seven (7-4-0).
"Riley has been great throughout the playoffs," said Americans Defenseman, David Makowski. "He gives us a chance to win every night and that's all you can ask from your goalie."
Danny Federico has played in the last three games for Allen, after playing in just one game in the Idaho series. Americans forward J.P Lafontaine was back in the lineup on Sunday after missing Game 4 on Friday. Steve Martinson has been rotating that tenth forward for the most part during the playoffs between Kyle Neuber, J.P Lafontaine and Justin Courtnall. Two of the three could be in the lineup tonight, with a change to the top nine expected.
