But the Wingnuts closed out the game with 13 unanswered runs. And though starting pitcher Junior Guerra gave up 10 tens and all six runs, he earned the win.
Lincoln 7, Kansas City 6
After taking a three run lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Lincoln Saltdogs held off a ninth inning rally by the Kansas City T-Bones to win 7-6. A homerun by T-Bone 1B Matt Padgett tied the score in the top of the eighth but the Saltdogs responded in the bottom of the frame. LF Matt Forgatch, who was 2-for-5 with two RBI, singled home a run, stole second and then scored along with 1B David Espinosa on a double by DH Tyler Goodro. Those three runs put Lincoln on top 7-6. Reliever R.J. Rodriguez came in to pitch for Lincoln in the ninth and gave up a solo homerun to 3B Devin Goodwin to lead off the inning. With two outs and runners on the corners, 2B Jairo Perez singled in SS Felix Molina but Rodriguez retired Padgett in the next at bat to seal the game and earn the save.

Sioux City claimed the lead in the third inning when SS Leugim Barroso came around to score on a single by 2B Brian Bistagne. Both Barroso and Bistange had three hits in the game and Barroso had a team-high three RBI. Grand Prairie rallied in the ninth to draw within one run but couldn't get any closer.
El Paso 11, Laredo 3
