Texas 11, Kansas City 9 (10 Innings) - Box Score

The Texas AirHogs beat the Kansas City T-Bones 11-9 in 10 innings thanks to a two-run home run from Rf Stewart Ijames.

The game was tied 9-9 after nine innings but the AirHogs went to work to change that in the top of the first extra inning. In the 10th, LF Dillon Thomas (2-for-5) reached base thanks to an error by a shortstop. After DH Correlle Prime (2-for-5) struck out, Ijames (3-for-5) stepped to the plate and turned on a 2-1 delivery to give the AirHogs a two-run lead.

In the bottom of the frame, Reliever Carlos Contreras came on to pitch and he gave up a walk and a single but escaped the inning without allowing a run thanks to a 6-4-3 double play that ended the game.

For Texas, 1B Chu Fuji and 2B Casio Grider each had a pair of hits.

2B Dylan Tice led the T-Bones with three his and three runs scored. DH Colin Walsh pushed across four RBIs on the night including three-run home run.

Sioux City 6, Lincoln 5 - Box Score

Both the Sioux City Explorers and the Lincoln Saltdogs posted five-run innings on the night but the Explorers held of the Saltdogs for a 6-5 win.

In the top of the fifth inning, DH David Kerian doubled in the first run of the game and scored when LF Luis Durango (3-for-5) singled in the next at-bat. Durango and RF Michael Lang (2-for-4) both scored when CF Jay Austin doubled and then Austin capped the rally when he scored after SS Nate Samson (3-for-5) singled.

The Explorers added a crucial run in the top of the sixth when Durango singled, allowing C Dylan Kelly to score.

In the bottom of the inning, 3B Christian Ibarra (2-for-4) came up with the bases loaded and emptied them with a double. Ibarra scored when RF T.J. Bennett doubled in the next at-bat and Bennett touched home DH Curt Smith singled but that was the final run of the game.

Fargo-Moorhead 3, Winnipeg 1 - Box Score

One swing of the bat proved to be the difference for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Friday night as they topped the Winnipeg Goldeyes 3-1.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, 2B Maikol Gonzalez hit a three-run home run and that proved to be all the run support the RedHawks needed on the night. Winnipeg's only run came in the top of the ninth inning as 2B Tucker Nathans drew a lead-off walk and then came around to score when LF McClain Bradley (2-for-4) bounced into a fielder's choice.

Bradley was the only Goldeye to have more than one hit in the game while C Charlie Valerio and DH Keury De La Cruz each had two hits from the RedHawks.

Wichita 6, Cleburne 3 - Box Score

The Wichita Wingnuts scored four runs in the first inning and never trailed on the way to a 6-3 win against the Cleburne Railroaders.

In the bottom of the first, 2B Logan Watkins hit a lead-off single and scored in the next at-bat thanks to an error. After 1B Abel Nieves drew a walk, CF Zach Nehrir (3-for-4) scored on an error and DH Tony Thomas (2-for-4) singled to allow to Nieves to score. Thomas scored on a sac fly from 3B Ryne Willard to cap the early rally.

In the third, DH Levi Scott and 1B Patrick Palmeiro (2-for-5) hit back-to-back RBI singles to pull the Railroaders within two runs but in the fifth, the Wingnuts added another pair of runs. Nieves singled home Nehrir and then scored when C John Nester (2-for-4) singled.

In the eighth, LF Trevor Sealey scored the final run of the night when SS Angel Rosa (2-for-4) tripled.

Chicago 9, Sioux Falls 5 - Box Score

The Chicago Dogs recorded a pair of runs in four different innings as they dropped the Sioux Falls Canaries 9-5.

Seven different Dogs each tallied at least one hit on the night and three of them had two-hit games. 2B Edwin Arroyo went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs in the game and RF Rubi Silva added a 2-for-5 showing with a run and an RBI. LF Jonathan Moroney also went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

On the bump, starting pitcher Scott Barnes earned the win after throwing 5.1 innings and allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out five batters.

For the Canaries, 3B/SS Jordan Dean went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a home run and C Maxx Garrett went 2-for-4 with his eighth home run of the year. 1B Patrick Fiala also had a pair of hits including his fourth dinger of the seasons.

St. Paul at Gary SouthShore - Postponed (Rain)

The game between the St. Paul Saints and the Gary SouthShore RailCats was postponed due to rain after one inning of play with the score still tied 0-0. The game will be completed Saturday, July 21, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday's regularly scheduled game will be shortened to seven innings and will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Friday's game.
