Laredo 10, Newark 4

The Laredo Lemurs took control of an inter-league match with the Newark Bears with a six-run eighth inning on their way to a 10-4 win. The eighth inning rally started with a two-run homerun by DH John Alonso. Alonso was 2-for-5 with three RBI. SS Jimmy Mojica doubled later in the inning and pushed three runs across. Mojica was also 2-for-5 with three RBI. Lemur C Brian Peterson also had two hits in the game. For the Bears, RF Carlos Guzman was 2-for-5 with two RBI. Starter David Newmann picked up the win for Laredo and starter Adam Gabel was saddled with the loss.
