Amarillo Sox Release 2014 Home Schedule

Amarillo, TX- The Amarillo Sox Baseball Club released their 2014 home schedule today with the home opener slated for Thursday, May 15th, 2014. The Amarillo Sox will open with a seven game home stand against the Winnipeg Goldeyes for four, and the Fargo-Morehead RedHawks for three.
The Amarillo Sox will play a 100-game schedule with 50 home games with the home season concluding with a four-game series with the AirHogs from Grand Prairie, August 21st thru August 24th. Amarillo Sox home games will begin at 7:05pm Monday thru Saturday and 6:05pm for Sunday contests.
2014 will again feature interleague play with the CanAm League. The CanAm league teams are Newark, New Jersey, Quebec, Rockland, and Trois-Rivieres. This year the Amarillo Sox will welcome two teams from the CanAm league. The dates are May 26th thru May 28th, and July 14th thru July 16th. The two teams have yet to be determined.
The 2014 season will also feature an All Star Game. The game is scheduled for July 29th and will be play in Winnipeg.
The American Association will remain a three division league, North, Central and South. The Sox will remain in the South division along with Wichita, Grand Prairie, and Laredo. The North division includes Winnipeg, Fargo, Sioux Falls, and Saint Paul. The Central division includes Gary, Kansas City, Lincoln and Sioux City.
"I'm excited we have our schedule. This allows us to start putting together our season with our plans to create a fun filled summer that our fans will truly enjoy" says GM Mark Lee.
Season tickets are currently available for purchase in-person or over the phone by visiting the Amarillo Sox Offices at 801 S Polk Street or by calling 806-242-4653. Game day tickets will go on sale May 1st, 2014. VISA, MASTERCARD accepted.
