The Amarillo Bulls are one of two teams to have netted the game's first goal in every contest this weekend. The Bulls are seven for seven while the Philadelphia Rebels are six for six. The Bulls have evenly distributed their offense this season with eight goals scored in the first followed by seven in the second and another seven in the third.

LAST WEEK IN REVIEW: The Amarillo Bulls split a pair of games with the defending National Champion Lone Star Brahmas dropping the first one 6-1 but taking the second 3-0. Brendan Michaelian netted the lone Bulls goal in the first game on the power play on Friday, while Brandon Bussi took the loss in goal. The following night Jason Grande was spectacular and Jon Russell scored twice. Marcus Chorney had the other goal. In South Texas, the Corpus Christi IceRays began their season at American Bank Center with back to back losses to the Odessa Jackalopes. On Friday the Jacks won 2-1 in overtime, while on Saturday the IceRays fell 5-3. Scoring for Corpus Christi on Friday was Blake Coffey, while on Saturday it was Aleksi Peltonen, Garrett Hallford and Noah Roofe.

ICERAYS LOOK TO BUILD MOMENTUM: The 2016-17 campaign was a memorable one for the Corpus Christi IceRays as the team had an outstanding season advancing to their first South Division Championship series before falling in game five to the eventual National Champion Lone Star Brahmas.

20TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON: The Corpus Christi IceRays are celebrating 20 years of hockey in the coastal bend dating back to their days in the Western Professional Hockey League and the Central Hockey League. The IceRays first played their games at the cozy confines of the 3,300 seat Corpus Christi Memorial Coliseum before moving over to the roomy American Bank Center.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There is plenty of action going on in the South Division this weekend. The Odessa Jackalopes finally open up their home portion of their schedule at Ector County Coliseum when they entertain the Shreveport Mudbugs on Friday and Saturday. Meantime at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena the Topeka Road Runners host the Lone Star Brahmas.
