22 games. Connor Joe had two hits, stretching his hitting streak to 11 games.
TODAY: The Curve open a seven-game road trip with the first of four games against the Akron RubberDucks, Double-
A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Curve swept Akron in a three-game series at PNG Field from April 13-15
before being swept at Canal Park from April 21-23. Friday night's game was postponed due to wet grounds and will
be made up as part of a double-header on July 8 at Canal Park.
FOR ALTOONA: Right-hander Yeudy Garcia makes his fifth start for the Curve and his second against the Rubber-
Ducks. Last time out, he worked 5.2 innings and allowed one unearned run against Harrisburg on Saturday. He faced
Akron on April 23 at Canal Park and worked three hitless, scoreless innings with seven strikeouts before giving up five
runs in the fourth inning, four of them on a two-out, two-strike grand slam. He struck out nine batters in that outing,
matching the highest total for a Curve pitcher this season. He spent last year with the A-Adv. Bradenton Maraud-
ers, where he went 6-8 with a 2.76 ERA in 26 games (25 starts) and averaged a strikeout per inning. In 2015, Garcia
went 12-5 with a 2.10 EAR for the Single-A West Virginia Power and was named the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League
Pitcher of the Year. Garcia enters 2017 as the Pirates' No. 12 prospect on MLB.com and Baseball America's No. 16
Pirates prospect. For more on Garcia, see page two.
FOR AKRON: Right-hander D.J. Brown makes third start of the season for the RubberDucks and his sixth appearance
overall. He pitched three scoreless innings against the Curve on April 23. Last time out, he allowed eight earned runs
