SEVIERVILLE - Prior to this evening's game, the Chicago Cubs have announced a series of transactions that impacts their Double-A affiliate Tennessee Smokies roster. Chicago announced that OF Alex Bautista has been transferred to Tennessee from Triple-A Iowa, while OF Jacob Hannemann has been placed on the Temporarily Inactive List.

Bautista joins the Double-A level for the first time in his professional career. The 22-year-old played in three games with Triple-A Iowa this season, going 1-for-4 at the plate. Bautista split the 2015 campaign between Rookie Mesa and Short-Season Eugene. With Mesa, the Queens, N.Y. native posted a .274 average (17-62) with a home run and eight runs batted in over 18 contests. After being transferred to Eugene on July 23, Bautista tallied a .242 mark (24-99) with 15 runs scored, two home runs and 13 RBI in 28 games for the Emeralds. The right-handed hitter was drafted by the Cubs in the 22nd round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.).

Hannemann has been a constant force for the Smokies in 2016. The 25-year-old has compiled a .235 average (61-260) with 23 extra-base hits - including a team-high eight homers - and a team-leading 27 RBI and 23 stolen bases. Entering Saturday, Hannemann leads the Southern League in at-bats (260), is tied for the circuit lead in games played (66), and ranks second in stolen bases (23). Now in his second season with Tennessee, the Orem, Utah resident has accrued a .233 clip (162-694) with 58 extra-base knocks - 14 of which are homers - 68 RBI and 40 stolen bases in 178 career games for the Smokies. Hannemann was taken by Chicago in the third round of the 2013 MLB Draft out of Brigham Young University.

Tennessee's active roster currently stands at 25 players with three players currently on the disabled list and one player on the Temporarily Inactive List. A revised roster is attached.
