The Albuquerque Isotopes scored two first inning runs for the second consecutive game and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-3 Wednesday at Southwest University Park. El Paso has dropped three consecutive games after a three-game winning streak.

The Chihuahuas trailed 3-2 late in Wednesday's game and left runners on in scoring position in both the sixth and seventh innings. El Paso's Dusty Coleman went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a solo home run, his third homer of the year, with all of them coming at Southwest University Park.

Bryan Rodriguez pitched five innings for El Paso and allowed only one earned run. Catcher Tony Cruz caught two different Isotopes trying to steal in the fifth inning, the second time this year a Chihuahuas catcher threw out two attempted base stealers in one inning, as Rocky Gale accomplished the feat earlier this season.
