Akron Racers 2016 Season Ticket and Mini Plans on Sale Now

AKRON, OH - The Akron Racers announced today that season tickets, as well as 10-game and 5-game ticket packages are now available for the 2016 season.

The 2016 season marks the Racers 15th season of professional fastpitch softball. Akron is the oldest existing professional fastpitch team dating back to its first team in 1999. This season will include numerous opportunities to celebrate the past 15 seasons including its historic come-from-behind victory over the Chicago Bandits to claim Akron's first Cowles Cup in 2005. The 2016 edition of the Akron Racers embark on a journey to chase their second title in this their 15th Season of Play.

Tickets are available for purchase by calling the ticket office at 330.376.8188. Or, for the first time ever, season tickets and mini ticket plans can be purchased online at akronracers.org. Fans can, not only buy but select, the seats they desire with our new easy-to-use interface. The time is NOW to grab your seat for this historic season.

Visit Firestone Stadium as often as possible to see 2015 home run champion and All-NPF outfielder, Taylor Schlopy, current NPF career wins record holder and eight-time All-NPF Pitcher, Sarah Pauly, former NPF Defensive Player of the Year and Three-Time All-NPF selection Kelley Montalvo and the rest of the 2016 Akron Racers. Brian Levin and Dustin Combs return for their third season at the controls of the Racers in 2016 after having been selected the 2014 NPF Coaching Staff of the Year in their rookie season in the league.

Akron opens their home season against the Pennsylvania Rebellion on June 8th for the start of a three-game series that kicks off a lengthy stretch of seven games in eight days at home for the Racers. The Racers 25-game home schedule concludes with a two-game set against the reigning NPF regular season champions, the USSSA Pride.
