AHL's Wolves Return Blain to Boise

Boise, ID (2/12/13) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced Tuesday morning that rookie defenseman Jeremie Blain has been assigned to the Idaho Steelheads by Chicago of the American Hockey League..

The American Hockey League (AHL) is the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America.

Blain, 20, returns to Idaho after spending the past month with the Wolves, who own his AHL rights. He appeared in ten games with Chicago, picking up one assist and eight penalty minutes. The Quebec native skated in 30 games with Idaho prior to his AHL call-up, collecting six goals and 12 assists along with a plus-8 rating.

He is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday night when the Steelheads host the San Francisco Bulls. He'll wear jersey no. 3.

The team also announced it has released defenseman Kory Scoran. Scoran has returned to his full-time job as the assistant director of hockey operations at Boise's Idaho Ice World.
