HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that defenseman Jordan Hendry has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the team. The Aeros are the 2011 American Hockey League (AHL) Western Conference Champions and primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild.

"We are pleased to bring in a competitor with Jordan's experience," Mill said. "This is an opportunity for Jordan to work his way back into the game while his experience will undoubtedly prove beneficial to our younger players. He adds depth to our organization and will help us succeed on the ice."

Hendry, 27 (2/23/84), brings 129 games of National Hockey League (NHL) games, all with the Chicago Blackhawks.
