Admirals to Host Donald Driver February 15
February 5, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that Green Bay Packers All-Time Leading Receiver, Super Bowl XLV Champion, and 2012 Dancing with the Stars Champion Donald Driver will be in attendance at the BMO Harris Bradley Center for the game on Friday, February 15th against the San Antonio Rampage.
On Wednesday Driver will be announcing his retirement from the NFL at a ceremony in Green Bay. He spent each of his 14 seasons in the league with the Green Bay Packers and, in doing so, became a fan favorite and a franchise legend. He ends his career as the Packers all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. This will be Driver's first appearance in Milwaukee since announcing his retirement. The Admirals will commemorate his career.
"The Admirals are honored to welcome a Wisconsin icon," said Greenberg. "This special night will give the fans of Southeastern Wisconsin a chance to celebrate Donald Driver's career."
Driver will be on hand for a ceremonial puck drop to start the game. He will be participating in an intermission activity and will also be interviewed by Admirals PA announcer Matt Moore. There will not be a public autograph session.
Also in the cards for the evening, the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a bobblehead of Admirals forward Chris Mueller courtesy of Lee Jeans.
The Admirals will also be sporting special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off to the fans. The Ads will be wearing the uniforms throughout the three-game weekend, and fans can participate in the silent auction at the game on the 15th, exclusively online on the 16th, concluding the 17th at the game. Proceeds will go to Lee Denim Days.
The Ads are set to play a stack of home games at the BMOBC starting this Friday against the Houston Areos (7:00 pm), Sunday against the Peoria Rivermen (3:00 pm), and Tuesday against the Abbotsford Heat (7:00 pm). All those games lead up to our weekend triple-header on Friday (7:00 pm), Saturday (7:30 pm), and Sunday (5:00 pm).
For tickets fans should call Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of 10 or more receive significant discounts off the original ticket price. For more information, or to purchase group tickets, fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
