Admirals Sign Goaltender Matt Lundin To PTO

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals have signed goaltender Matt Lundin to a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).

Lundin, 23, is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound goaltender from Apple Valley, Minnesota. He has appeared in 24 games for the IHL's Muskegeon Lumberjacks, posting a 16-5-1 record with a 2.82 goals-against average and.906 save percentage.

Lundin, whose older brother Mike plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning and is a former Admiral, is a first-year pro out of Mercyhurst College.

The Admirals will begin a five-game road trip tonight in Binghamton against the Senators. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.

The Admirals will return to Scope on Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6, for a pair of pivotal East Division matchups against the Albany River Rats. On March 5, the Admirals and the Norfolk Department of Public Health will team up to offer free H1N1 flu vaccinations to all fans in attendance. Then join us on March 6 for American Cancer Society Relay For Life Night. Special discounted fundraising tickets are available with proceeds going back to the American Cancer Society.
