Norfolk Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today additions to the team's 2008-09 promotional schedule that features 26 games with promotional giveaways, five games with live entertainment, eight dates where fans can take a lap or two around the Bradley Center ice after the game, and FM106/Miller Lite Country Music Night featuring national recording artist Phil Vassar after the team's game versus the San Antonio Rampage on Friday, January 23rd.

The post-game concert with Vassar & Friends on January 23rd is just one of three concerts planned by the Admirals for the 2008-09 campaign. The Ads will host a classic rock night, sponsored by Miller Lite and Lee Jeans, on Saturday, March 28th after the game. The performer for the classic rock show, as well as the date and performer for the third show are yet to be determined.

The Admirals, along with Wispolitics.com, will be conducting a Presidential Straw Poll at the team's game on Friday, October 31st versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. All people in attendance will receive a mask with Barack Obama on one side and John McCain on the other and during the game a scientific poll of presidential preference will be taken.

Topping the list of other giveaways this season are three bobbleheads and the team's first ever bobble-fist. On Friday, February 27th the first 5,000 fans will take home a bobble-fist of repudiated Admirals tough-guy Kelsey Wilson, sponsored by US Bank. As the team does each year, the Admirals will have a number of promotions with a charitable angle to them. At the commencement of the season the Admirals will host the "Hunt for Pink October" for the second consecutive year to help raise cancer awareness. During the month of October the Admirals will wear helmets with pink ribbons on them that will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefitting Gilda's Club of Southeastern Wisconsin. The Ads will play their 4th annual charitable game on Sunday, March 1st where all 400-level seats are just $3 and a portion of the proceeds from those seats, as well as from each full-priced 200-level seat, will be donated to the MACC Fund. Potawatomi Bingo Casino will also sponsor Chuck-a-Puck, where fans can purchase foam pucks at select games for $1 and then throw them onto the ice for a chance to win great prizes. The proceeds from Chuck-a-Puck go to the Power Play Foundation. On Friday, December 12th, US Cellular is sponsoring the Teddy Bear Toss where fans bring a new or gently used teddy bear to throw on the ice when the Ads score their first goal. All the teddy bears will then be swept up and donated to a local charity.

The Admirals also have a number of continuity programs that run throughout the season. Highlighting this list is the brand new Chipotle Fiesta Deck where fans receive a Stern & Bow ticket, a certificate for a Chipotle Burrito (at participating Chipotle restaurants), and a kazoo for only $16.
