Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team will open their 2013-14 season on Friday, October 11th when they travel to Abbotsford, BC to battle the Heat.

The team will kick off the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 19 at 7:00 pm against the Chicago Wolves at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Ads will play a 76-game, unbalanced schedule that will conclude over six months later when they play on the road in Chicago on Sunday, April 19th.

At the home opener, all fans in attendance will receive a schedule magnet of the 2013-14 season, while the team's popular concert series and the rest of the promotional schedule will be released in the near future.

Under the guidance of second-year Head Coach Dean Evason, the Admirals will start on the road for the third straight year and the seventh time in the past nine seasons. The Admirals return home for a four-game homestand, their second longest of the season, from October 19th through November 1st.

From a travel perspective this season's schedule is very balanced as their longest homestand is five games (February 1-9), while their longest road swing is four games (November 3-10 & March 21-26). In addition, the Ads will play nine 3-in-3s: three games in three consecutive nights, one fewer than last season.

Once again Fridays will be the busiest night of the week for home games as the Admirals host 16 home contests in 2013-14. The Ads will play six times at the BMOBC on Sundays, five on Wednesdays, four on Saturday, three on Tuesday and two on Thursday. Both February and March will feature eight home contests, while November, December, and January, all have five.

Once again the Admirals will compete in the Midwest Division of the Western Conference, along with the Chicago Wolves, Rockford IceHogs, Grand Rapids Griffins, and newcomers, the Iowa Wild, who were formerly the Houston Aeros. The Ads will play 44 of their 76 games within their own division with 12 games each against the Wolves and IceHogs, and 10 versus the Griffins and Wild.

Milwaukee will play their remaining 32 games against teams from the North and West Division, which includes every team in the Western Conference. The Ads battle Abbotsford, the Charlotte Checkers, Lake Erie Monsters, Oklahoma City Barons, San Antonio Rampage, and Texas Stars four times. while they will have a home-and-home set with the Hamilton Bulldogs, Rochester Americans, Toronto Marlies and Utica Comets.

Both Iowa and Utica, who moved from Peoria, are new teams to the Ads slate, while Milwaukee will face-off against Rochester for the first time since the 2005-06 campaign.

The Admirals will start all games Tuesday through Saturday at 7:00 pm, while Sunday contests will begin at 5:00 pm with the exception of March 2 which will start at 3:00 pm. Individual tickets for the 2013-14 season will go on sale at a future date. However, season tickets are now on sale, starting at just $180.
