Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev.- Ryan Roberts drove in two of Reno's three runs, and pitchers Kevin Mulvey and Carlos Rosa did the rest, leading the Aces to a 3-2 victory over Nashville Thursday night at Aces Ballpark.

Trailing 2-1 in the fifth, Reno rallied to take the lead for good. Tony Abreu and Ed Rogers led off the frame with back-to-back singles. After Ed Easley reached on an error that scored Abreu, Kevin Mulvey moved the runners up with a sacrifice bunt. Roberts would give the Aces the lead with a sacrifice fly, and the pitching staff held on to give Reno its second victory in as many nights.

Kevin Mulvey (6-7) earned the victory, scattering eight hits and allowing just two runs over seven innings of work. Carlos Rosa slammed the door over the final two innings, striking out three en route to earning his fifth save of the season.

Chase Wright (7-7) suffered the loss for the Sounds, giving up all three runs-two earned-in six innings.

Roberts finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Aces, while Abreu chipped in with two hits in his first game in Reno since June 13.

Reno and Nashville face off again Friday night, with Aces RHP Matt Torra (7-6, 4.14 ERA) set to take the ball against Sounds RHP Marty McLeary (5-6, 7.13 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., and is the final Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KOLO 8 of the 2010 season.

Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
