Connolly, who will turn 28 in two weeks, has been one of the most productive scorers in the ECHL over the last three seasons. Last season he tied for the lead in Greenville goal scoring as part of a career-high 60 point (24g, 36a) campaign. He also added 113 penalty minutes, while finishing second in team scoring. It was the third consecutive 20-goal season for the 5'9", 175 lbs. Canmore, Alberta native. Two years ago, Connolly had 56 points (24g, 32a) in just 40 games, and earned a 12-game call-up to the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League. In 2010-2011 Connolly joined the Road Warriors and finished the season with 50 points (22g, 28a) in 45 games. He was named the ECHL Player of the Month in November of that season and earned his first ever AHL call-up with the Adirondack Phantoms. In his Greenville career, Connolly registered 166 points in 150 games.

Connolly turned pro in 2009 with the Elmira Jackals as an amateur out of Ferris State University. He immediately took the ECHL by storm with 13 points (7g, 6a) in 12 games. The forward stayed in Elmira the following season for his first complete pro year. Connolly's career totals include 232 games - all but 15 in the ECHL - and 207 points (89g, 118a).

Prior to turning pro, Connolly was a standout forward at Ferris State. In each of his final three seasons of collegiate hockey, he posted double digit goals and 20-plus points. As a senior he led the Bulldogs with 28 points (10g, 18a) and added 109 PIM. The rights to Rizk were acquired by the Aces earlier this month from the Fort Wayne Komets in exchange for Bobby Hughes.
