Reno Aces News Release

Reno, Nev. - A four-run Fresno first inning dug Reno into an early 6-2 hole they were unable to climb out of on Monday night, in a 6-2 loss to the Grizzlies at Chukchansi Park.

An RBI single followed by a three-run home run off the bat of Chris Dominguez boosted the Grizzlies to a 4-0 lead in the first off Reno starter Mike Bolsinger.

Bolsinger lasted 7.0 innings, giving up six runs - five earned - on a career-high 11 hits through the stretch. He struck out five and walked just one.

After Fresno starter Yusmeiro Petit retired the first eight Aces batters he faced, Bolsinger broke through with an opposite-field single in the third. Adam Eaton, who joined Reno today in continuation of his Major League Rehabilitation Assignment, knocked a solo home run in the sixth to put the Aces on the board.

An RBI double by catcher Ed Easley drove in Reno's only other run of the night in the seventh.

Six different batters had a hit apiece for Reno at the plate.

With the loss, Bolsinger evened his record at 3-3. RHP Chaz Roe, who rejoined the Aces today after his first stint in the big leagues, threw a perfect eighth inning.

The series continues on Tuesday night at Chukchansi Park. RHP Garrett Mock (5-4, 6.04 ERA) will get the nod for Reno, while the Grizzlies will counter with RHP Mitch Lively (3-3, 5.87 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.
