Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Friday that it will host the International U14 Qualifying Tournament on April 28-30, 2017. This tournament aims to attract the best U14 teams from Quebec. The winner will qualify automatically for the International U14, which will take place from June 29 to July 2 at Centre Nutrilait.
"We are really happy to host the teams from the province for this unique tournament," said the Impact Academy Director Philippe Eullaffroy. "This is an exceptional chance for them not only to show their talent, but also to qualify and face the academies of international professional teams. It will also be a good opportunity to share and talk with teams from everywhere in the province."
Last year, in the first edition of the International U14, D.C. United (MLS) won the final against Bologna FC (Serie A). The Montreal Impact and the Chicago Fire were the other teams competing.
In addition to this amateur team from Quebec, more international teams will take part in the 2017 edition of the International U14 tournament.
