North Carolina FC News Release

CARY, N.C. (Oct. 22, 2017) - North Carolina FC has secured qualification to the 2017 NASL playoffs following a 4-4 draw between the New York Cosmos and Jacksonville Armada on Sunday afternoon. The club's 44 points will clinch at least a top-four finish in the league. The postseason appearance is the first for NCFC since the 2012 NASL season.

NCFC clinched the playoff berth after an impressive run of form racked up points both at home and on the road during the last few months of play. NCFC has only dropped one match in its last 11 and is undefeated in its last six matches. The team has one game remaining in the regular season to decide its final playoff seeding and opponent.

The New York Cosmos and Jacksonville Armada FC remain behind NCFC and will battle it out for the final playoff spot this upcoming weekend. Only one team has the potential to catch NCFC in the table by the end of the regular season.

NCFC will travel to face the Indy Eleven at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. in the final regular season match of 2017.
