Partridge Earns IFL Honors

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers quarterback Travis Partridge was named the Indoor Football League's Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14, the League announced today.
Partridge (6'4, 245, Missouri Western State) earned IFL Offensive Player of the Week Honors after executing a game winning drive that used the final three minutes and was punctuated by an 18 yard field goal from Kenton Chun with only two seconds remaining. This final drive allowed the Barnstormers to edge conference rival Wichita Falls Nighthawks 50-47 in a key Week 14 matchup. In addition to his game-winning drive, Partridge put the Barnstormers in position to score all night long. He finished the game with seven total touchdowns (five passing, two rushing) while passing for 150 yards and rushing for 44. Partridge now leads all IFL rushers with 20 rushing touchdowns.
The win over Wichita Falls gives Iowa a game lead in the playoff race with only four weeks left in the season. Partridge and the Barnstormers will return home this Friday, May 26 as they face the Green Bay Blizzard at Wells Fargo Arena. The Indoor Football League awarded defensive lineman Justin Shirk of the Arizona Rattlers with Defensive Player of the Week, while wide receiver Chris Robinson of the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles earned Special Teams Player of the Week.
