PENSACOLA, Fla., - For the first time in team history, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos are set to host many of the top young prospects at picturesque Blue Wahoos Stadium in downtown Pensacola June 19-20.
Presented by Wind Creek Atmore, Visit Pensacola and Pensacola Sports, tickets for the Southern League All-Star Game and activities go on sale Monday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m. Festivities surrounding the All-Star Game include the All-Star Game Fan Fest & Home Run Derby, All-Star Gala at Seville Quarter, Southern League Hall of Fame Luncheon at New World Landing and the postgame Bubba's Sweet Spot Celebration in Hancock Bank Club.
A special All-Star Package is available which includes one ticket to each event below and a special All-Star Game gift for $155. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online at bluewahoos.com or visiting the Box Office. Orders can also be placed over the phone by calling 850-934-8444.
All-Star Fan Fest & Home Run Derby June 19th - 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tickets: $10 (General Admission tickets only) Kick off the All-Star festivities with the Southern League All-Star Fan Fest & Home Run Derby at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Interactive activities for fans will be both outside and inside the stadium with Wind Creek Atmore massage stations, autographs with both North and South All-Stars, face painting and inflatables for kids, Unlimited Training Academy activities outside of the stadium, a High School All-Star Home Run Derby with local high school athletes all topped off with the Southern League All-Stars competing in a Home Run Derby.
Southern League All-Star Gala at Seville Quarter June 19th - 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Tickets: $50 (Includes two drink vouchers and heavy hors d'oeuvres) Come meet all your favorite stars of tomorrow while enjoying great food and drinks. The event starts with an award ceremony recognizing the All-Star players and will follow with plenty of entertainment with casino games from Wind Creek Atmore and live music.
Southern League Hall of Fame Luncheon June 20th - 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tickets: $50 Dine with the All-Stars at the Southern League Hall of Fame Luncheon at New World Landing as we induct Tom Glavine, Gabe Kapler and Tony La Russa into the Southern League Hall of Fame. Keynote speaker to be announced.
Southern League All-Star Game June 20th - 6:35 p.m. (Gates open at 5:30 p.m.) Tickets: $59 - Hancock Bank Club $19 - Box Seats $17 - Reserved $14 - SRO The stars of tomorrow take the field for the main event! Aside from seeing the Southern League's top players, fans will be entertained by FUR Circus.
Postgame Bubba's Sweet Spot Celebration in Hancock Bank Club June 20th - Postgame Tickets: $25 Enjoy savory desserts in the Hancock Bank Club as we conclude the All-Star Game festivities.
Notable former Southern League All-Stars include Carl Crawford (2001), Matt Holliday (2002), Jake Peavy (2002), Adam Wainwright (2003), Prince Fielder (2004), Joey Votto (2006), Todd Frazier (2009), Joc Pederson (2013), Kris Bryant (2014) and Dansby Swanson (2016).
Notable Blue Wahoos All-Stars include Didi Gregorius (2012), Ryan LaMarre (2012), Michael Lorenzen (2014), Robert Stephenson (2014-2015), Ray Chang (2015), Tim Adleman (2015), Phillip Ervin (2016 and Alejandro Chacin (2016).
This marks the first professional all-star game in the city of Pensacola in 55 years. The last professional all-star game in Pensacola was the summer of 1962 when the Pensacola Senators, an affiliation of the Washington Senators, hosted the Alabama-Florida League All-Star Game at Admiral Mason Ballpark.
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are home April 27th - May 1st against the Biloxi Shuckers at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are the Double-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds and a member of the Southern League.
