April 27, 2017 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Duluth Huskies News Release

The Duluth Huskies are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 23rd season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, 150 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Lucas Duda (NYM) and Ben Zobrist (CHC). All league games are viewable live via the Northwoods League portal . For more information, visit www.duluthhuskies.com .

The Huskies are excited to announce a new and exciting event. On June 4th fans can bike to the ball game with a group of people starting from Lakewalk at Endion or Fairmount Park and ending at Wade Stadium. The groups are meeting at 1:45pm to start their 3 mile family-friendly ride to the game. Doors open at 2:05 with the first pitch set to start at 3:05 as the Huskies take on the Willmar Stingers. Any fans that ride a bike to the game will be able to receive a $4 ticket to the game.

This event is part of Bus Bike Walk month - a month-long community celebration of people-powered transportation. More than 25 events bring together families, businesses, outdoor enthusiasts, active commuters, and schools. For more information on Bus Bike Walk, visit facebook.com/BusBikeWalkDuluth.
