Three Houston Dash Players Named to USWNT Roster for Texas Friendlies

- USWNT to face Russia at BBVA Compass Stadium April 8 at 1 p.m. CDT

- Ohai, Brian and Campbell will join the Dash for the majority of the Thorns Spring Invitational presented by Tillamook

- Dash open the 2017 NWSL season at BBVA Compass Stadium at 1 p.m. CDT on April 15 against Julie Johnson, Christen Press and the Chicago Red Stars

HOUSTON - Houston Dash midfielder Morgan Brian, forward Kealia Ohai and goalkeeper Jane Campbell and were selected by U.S. Women's National Team head coach Jill Ellis for the 24-player roster for a pair of friendlies on April 6 in Frisco, Texas and April 9 at BBVA Compass Stadium. The roster was released this morning by U.S. Soccer.

Additionally, Ellis selected Dash midfielder Carli Lloyd, who is currently with Manchester City for the FA Women's Super League Spring Series and UEFA Champion's League. The two-time FIFA Women's Player of the Year is scheduled to return to Houston in June.

Brian has earned 66 caps with the USWNT and won the Golden Ball as the most outstanding player at the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship in Houston last February. The 23-year-old midfielder started in 13 games for the Dash last year.

Ohai earned her first senior national team selection last October after finishing the 2016 NWSL season with a career-best 11 goals along with four assists. The University of North Carolina product set a national team record by scoring her first goal just 48 seconds after taking the field for her debut.

Campbell was selected with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft in January. The Stanford product finished her collegiate career with 35 shutouts, tied for the most in program history, and played 7,431 minutes in the Cardinal goal with 210 career saves. The goalkeeper earned her first call up with the senior team at age 17, becoming the youngest goalkeeper ever called into a full U.S. national team camp.
