WEEKEND PREVIEW - THREE IN THREE BETWEEN THE BULLS AND THE JACKS

THE TEAMS: ODESSA JACKALOPES VS. AMARILLO BULLS

WHEN AND WHERE: Tomorrow (Thursday) night at 7 pm at Ector County Coliseum in Odessa Texas. Friday and Saturday at 7 pm at Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.

BROADCAST OPTIONS: Tune in live to CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Hockey TV beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm on Thursday and Friday. Saturday broadcast coverage to begin around 6:50 pm.

PROMOTIONS FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: On Friday it's buy a regular priced ticket and get a child's ticket free. Saturday is sponsored by Amarillo Youth Hockey. Prior to the game there will be a ceremony to honor the player parents who are in town. The Bulls are also wearing special jerseys in support of Amarillo Youth Hockey with a live auction to follow immediately after the game. Fans can also register to win a bike from Seven Grill and Bar.

TICKET SPECIALS: The Sonic Family-Four-Pack for $44 (four tickets, four hotdogs and four sodas) as well as the Sonic Bring-A-Bud Pack for $22 (two tickets, two hotdogs and two sodas) returns for this Saturday's game. THE SERIES: The Amarillo Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes will see a lot of one another over the final three weeks of the regular season. The two teams play three in three this weekend with the first one in Odessa followed by the next two in Amarillo. There are two more meetings remaining on the final weekend of the regular season at Ector County Coliseum. Forward Chase Thudium leads the Jackalopes with four goals and seven assists for 11 points, while Zack Zech has nine points. Forwards Steven Ipri and George Mika each have 10 points (five goals and five assists), while Luke Edgerton has three goals. Goaltender Nikita Babintsev has netted both of the wins in the series.

STREAKS AND TRENDS: The Bulls have points in each of their last three games that includes a win at home ice versus the Shreveport Mudbugs and then back-to-back single points collected in overtime and shootout losses in Louisiana. The Jackalopes are 3-1-1 in their last five games and have points at home in their last three contests.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There is plenty going on in the South Division this weekend. The Topeka RoadRunners conclude their two week trip to Alaska with two against the Fairbanks IceDogs, while the Lone Star Brahmas head down to Corpus Christi to face the Ice Rays in a potential first round match-up. Another possible opening round match-up features the Wichita Falls Wildcats entertaining the Shreveport Mudbugs.

NOTES AND STATS: The Odessa Jackalopes are the 2nd most penalized team in the North American Hockey League averaging just over 28 minutes a game. The Jackalopes along with Wichita Falls and Topeka are among the top six most penalized teams. The Bulls and the Jackalopes have combined for 23 games that have gone past regulation and into overtime or shootout. The Bulls remain plus six in their period scoring, while Odessa is minus 2 and minus 3 respectively in the first two periods.
