Johnstown Tomahawks News Release

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the New Jersey Titans 4-1 Friday night at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

The Tomahawks came flying out of the gates and got on the board first when Josh Biasillo slid the puck past a prone Titans goaltender, Brandon Perrone, to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Riley Doyon and Alex Singley registered the assists.

Johnstown increased the Tomahawks lead to 2-0 when Nick Bruce lifted a puck past the glove side of Perrone. Bruce's 11th of the season was assisted by Tommy Horn and Daniil Bokun.

In the second period, the Titans cut the deficit to 2-1 when Greg Malafronte capitalized on a Tomahawks turnover and put the puck past Drew Hotte.

The Tomahawks answered back at 14:52 with Bruce's second of the contest and 12th of the season.

Joey Kile added an empty net goal in the third period to put the game away at 4-1 Johnstown.

Hotte stopped all 27 Titans shots for his 13th win of the season.

Both teams are back on the ice tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. Former Steelers quarterback Mike Tomczak will be on hand to sign autographs and drop the ceremonial first puck.
