Everblades TradeDefenseman Rawlyk to Atlanta

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Tuesday that the team has traded defenseman Rory Rawlyk to the Atlanta Gladiators in exchange for future considerations.

Rawlyk, 33, joins the Gladiators after logging two points (1g, 1a) with ten penalty minutes in 14 games played with the Everblades this season. Florida initially added the veteran defenseman on December 7.

The 6-5, 220-pound blueliner has racked up 154 points (40g, 114a) in over 300 career ECHL games in stints with the Everblades, Solar Bears, Charlotte Checkers, Phoenix Roadrunners, Cincinnati Cyclones and South Carolina Stingrays.

In an additional roster move, the Everblades have released Clay Witt as an emergency backup goaltender.

The Everblades return to action this Friday (Jan. 20) when they play host to the Orlando Solar Bears in another Wawa Sunshine Cup Series match-up at Germain Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Additional promo information listed below.
