Loveland, CO (12/8/16) -Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Thursday that forward Caleb Herbert has been recalled by the American Hockey League's Texas Stars. This is Herbert's second recall to Texas this season.

Herbert, 25, has played in 13 games this season with the Steelheads, scoring his fourth goal of the season for Idaho on Wednesday night in Loveland. A fifth-round draft pick of the Washington Capitals in 2010, Herbert has eight points with Idaho this year.

Herbert is under AHL contract with Texas and was assigned to the Steelheads during training camp in October. Herbert was with Texas from October 24th to November 12th earlier this season, appearing in three games and recording four penalty minutes for the Stars.

Herbert has appeared in 48 career AHL games with Texas and Hershey, totaling two goals and seven points with a plus-2 rating.

The Steelheads will look to even up their series with the Colorado Eagles on Friday night at Budweiser Events Center, with puck-drop scheduled for 7:05pm MT. All Steelhead road games are broadcast on 1350AM KTIK and online on ECHLTV.
