Media Advisory Stars Add Replacement Goalie Derek Schaedig

Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars added replacement goalie Derek Schaedig from the Janesville Jets (NAHL), the team announced on Wednesday.

The roster move follows Ethen Frank, Alex Green, Luka Maver and Cayden Primeau leaving for international competition. Schaedig will be eligible to play until Primeau returns on Dec. 28.

Schaedig stands 6'4" 180 pounds and has posted a 3.08 GAA and .903 save percentage through 16 games with the Jets. The 1998 birth year played the last four seasons for Chelsea High School. He recorded a 1.40 GAA and .938 save percentage through 29 games last year.

"We have scouted Derek for the past couple years," Stars GM Jon Hull said. "He has good size, good compete...we are excited for the opportunity for him and hopefully he takes advantage of it."
