Vancouver Whitecaps FC News Release
'I will carry your love wherever I go:' An open letter from Pedro Morales Dec 7th 2016, 17:30
I'd like to give thanks on behalf of my family and I for these three amazing years, which without a doubt have made an impact on my life as a person and my career as a football player.
From the moment I arrived at the club I felt the love and support from our great coaching staff, who received me with open arms and were always willing to help me with anything I needed.
Little by little, I earned the respect of you - the fans - and although I may have not been to the liking of everyone, I felt loved and cherished by you and the club.
I'd like to thank the club staff who work on and off the pitch. They all deserve my respect and admiration. Of course, I can't say enough good things about my teammates as I know firsthand how hard they work to accomplish the club's objectives.
I have finished my time as a Whitecaps FC player and I'm truly grateful and honoured for the opportunity I had to be a part of this amazing club. I hope to remain in the memory of those who knew my football skills but more so to those who knew me as a person.
Along with my family, all I can say is that we were happy here in Vancouver and we want to wish the club much success in the new season. Although I will not be part of the team, I am a Whitecaps FC fan and I will carry your love wherever I go.
Never stop believing. This is a great club and many successes will come along.
I love you all.
Go Whitecaps Go.
