Avalanche Recall Forward Rocco Grimaldi

SAN ANTONIO - The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forward Rocco Grimaldi has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). Grimaldi's sixth career call-up to the NHL serves as the Avalanche's seventh recall from San Antonio this season.

Grimaldi, 23, leads San Antonio scorers with six goals and 15 points in 19 games this season. He is currently tied for the franchise record of most points in a single game, tallying a five-point game on Dec. 26, 2014 against Texas. Grimaldi was last called up from San Antonio to its parent club on Nov. 18, 2014 when he played two games in one day for the Rampage and the Florida Panthers. The Rossmore, Calif. native spent last season with the Panthers organization, splitting time between the Florida and their AHL affiliate the Portland Pirates, collecting five and 33 points respectively.

The Rampage return to the Alamo City to host their second back-to-back series against the San Jose Barracuda beginning Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT at the AT&T Center.
