Comets Host Undefeated Mustangs Tomorrow

KANSAS CITY - After taking a break over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Kansas City Comets return home to host the Chicago Mustangs, the Major Arena Soccer League's final undefeated team, this Saturday night.

Kansas City will face the Chicago Mustangs at 7:05 p.m. CT tomorrow at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena and the game will be streamed on the league's MASLtv YouTube channel.

Before their break, the Comets took their first road trip of the year. After falling behind in the second half, the Comets mounted a comeback in the final three minutes of the game, but eventually fell 6-5 to the Milwaukee Wave. Earlier in the season the team had beat the Wave at home, 11-4. Kansas City is ranked third in the Central Division standings with a 2-2 record, only two games back of tonight's opponent

Last weekend, Chicago played a home-and-home series against the St Louis Ambush. The Mustangs won handily on Saturday, then at home Chicago trailed by two goals early, but fought back to tie and eventually beat the St. Louis Ambush 6-5 In overtime on Sunday night. It was the Mustangs' third result decided by one goal and second on the road. Taylor Bond, who is leading the Mustangs with 10 goals on the season, scored twice in the game.

For the Comets, twelve different players, including goalkeeper Stephen Paterson, have scored for the Comets this season. Leo Gibson, Bryan Perez and Ramone Palmer are leading the way with four goals each. An additional five players have scored multiple goals.

The Comets will hit the road again for their next game and take on the Cedar Rapids Rampage on Dec. 10. They return home the next night to host the annual 'Salute to Service' against the Baltimore Blast at 5:05 p.m.

The Kansas City Comets have a long rich history of indoor soccer in KC, including the 2014 MISL Championship. The reigning Back-to-Back MASL Central Division champions begin play at home on October 29^th at the Silverstein Eve Centers Arena. For tickets and information call 855.452.GOAL (4625)
