October 28, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Friday that left wing Magnus Paajarvi has been loaned to the club by the St. Louis Blues (NHL).

Paajarvi spent parts of the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons with the Wolves. During that time, Paajarvi posted 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points in 43 games. He accrued just eight penalty minutes in AHL play for the Wolves. Last season, Paajarvi was a point-per-game player through seven games (4G, 3A) before being recalled by the Blues and spending the rest of the season in St. Louis.

Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Paajarvi has appeared 279 NHL games and registered 81 points (36G, 45A). On July 10, 2013, Paajarvi was traded by Edmonton, along with a second-round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, to St. Louis in exchange for David Perron.

The Wolves face their in-state rival, the Rockford IceHogs, for a home-and-home series that begins today in Rockford. The Wolves return home on Saturday (Oct. 29) for another Illinois Lottery Cup contest against the IceHogs and close out the weekend with a 4 p.m. game against the 2016 Calder Cup champion Cleveland Monsters at Allstate Arena.
