Edge Re-Sign Patterson, Lewis

Bloomington, IL - The Bloomington Edge have re-signed defensive back Dominique Patterson and wide receiver Marcus Lewis, the team has announced. Patterson returns to the Edge for a third season and Lewis a fifth.
Patterson (5'10,195 - Fort Valley State) played 4 games for the Edge last season in which he made 12 tackles, one of which was for-loss, in addition to recording one interception. He was one of 8 members of the defense that had a tackle for loss, as well as a kick return last season.
"Returning to Bloomington was the decision I thought gave me the best future for my career," Patterson said. "I'm excited to go get this [championship] ring!"
In nine appearances for the Edge last season, Lewis (6'3, 210 - Northern Illinois) hauled in 453 receiving yards, second highest on the team, and five touchdowns on 37 receptions. Lewis averaged a team-high 12.2 yards per catch.
"It truly is a blessing to sign with the Edge for another season," Lewis stated. "I'm looking forward to competing for another championship with such a great organization."
At Northern Illinois University, Lewis recorded over 115 receiving yards in 26 appearances. He saw action against teams such as Wisconsin, Louisiana Tech, Navy, and Temple.
