Riders Make a Pair of Moves Prior to Weekend

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have made a pair of trades this week prior to the team hitting the road this weekend.
The Riders sent forwards Will Garin and Nick Bowman to the Sioux Falls Stampede this week for forwards Austin Martinsen and Steven Agriogianis. Martinsen, from Farmington, MN, has played in six games this season for the Stampede scoring one goal and one assist. Agriogianis was on the Stampede's Affiliate list and will be placed on the RoughRiders Affiliate List. He is currently playing for the North Jersey Avalanche U18 team and is committed to Penn State University.
The Riders also sent forward Matt Gosiewski to the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL for forward Tanner Tweeten. Tweeten, from East Grand Forks, MN has scored five goals and seven assists in 14 games for the Magicians this season. Last season Tweeten split time between the Magicians and East Grand Forks High School.
The RoughRiders, 0-8-1 so far this season, are on the road Friday at Chicago against the Steel and Saturday in Sioux City against the Musketeers. The Steel defeated the RoughRiders 5-2 last Friday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena in their only matchup of the season to date. This will be the 1st meeting between the Riders and Musketeers.
The team returns to The Stable on Friday, November 4th against the Green Bay Gamblers. The team will host its 3rd annual Small Dogs Derby. Dogs 25 pounds or under can register for an on-ice race during the 1st intermission of the game. For more details call 319-247-0340. Saturday the RoughRiders host the Bloomington Thunder for their Veterans Appreciation Night. Military Veterans and their families can get discounted tickets to the game and the team will be wearing Military themed jerseys.
